CONGRATULATIONS, ELLIOTT!

From John Hodgman's Twitter feed: "I can't believe Elliott Kalan is on stage and i'm stuck back here twittering. Revenge of the nerds indeed."

To one of my very best friends in the world, and someone just as kind as he is funny--congratulations.

Congratulations to Sara Schaefer, Emmy Winner

I'd like to congratulate my friend and occasional collaborator Sara Schaefer on winning an Emmy for "Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media." I've known few people who combine talent with so much drive and hustle, and you deserve every golden, pointy inch of that statuette.

You've certainly come a long way from the days when we got blackout drunk on comically large goblets of red stuff.

I'm kidding, of course. I meant "falling down" drunk.

Congratulations again, on your Emmy win. If anyone reading this has never gone to see Sara perform, jump on your very next chance. Just watch out when she pulls out a straw and starts eying your drink.

Congratulations, Sara

I've known this for a while, but now that it's been blogged, I feel like I don't need to sit on my public congratulations any longer. Congrats to Sara Schaefer, my longtime friend and occasional colleague, on her awesome new job as head writer for Late Night With Jimmy Fallon's website. Good work, Sara. You're the best... around. (karate montage)

Sara dances her way into Jimmy Fallon's heart.

Congratulations to Sara Schaefer

Congratulations to my friend and occasional colleague Sara Schaefer on her new gig writing for BestWeekEver.tv. This is the second time she's been able to quit her soul-crushing corporate job for gainful comedy employment. Some day I hope to know that sweet joy.

In the meantime, you can follow her collected Best Week Ever posts here.
